This appendix contains the following information:
If errors occur during the installation or when the Installation Verification Procedure (IVP) is running, the failure messages are displayed.
In the case of an IVP failure, you will see one of the following messages:
Problem encountered attempting to create a DECram disk Problem encountered initializing a DECram disk Unsuccessful termination of DECram V3.0 IVP |
Errors can also occur during the installation if any of the following conditions exist:
For descriptions of the error messages generated by these conditions, see the OpenVMS documentation sections referring to system messages, recovery procedures, and OpenVMS software installation. If you are notified that any of these conditions exist, you should take the appropriate action as described in the message. For information on installation requirements, see the Preparing to Install DECram for OpenVMS section.

The DECram for OpenVMS installation procedure installs a number of files on your system. The following list contains the names of all the files changed or created during installation. It also provides an explanation for each of the files.
SYS$LIBRARY:DCLTABLES.EXE
This file is changed when you install DECram for OpenVMS Version 3.0 on OpenVMS Operating System Version 7.2-1H1.
SYS$LOADABLE_IMAGES:SYS$MDDRIVER.EXE
(Used on OpenVMS Alpha systems.) These are the files for the DECram for OpenVMS Version 3.0 for OpenVMS device driver (MDDRIVER).
See the Section 1.7 section in this document for a complete list of all of the new files that are installed with the DECram for OpenVMS Version 3.0 software.
