The FUNCTION statement takes the following form:
[typ] FUNCTION nam [*m] [([p [,p] . . . ])]
- typ
- Is one of the logical or numeric data type specifiers. See
Section 4.5.1 for a list of these
specifiers.
- nam
- Is the symbolic name of the function.
- m
- Is an unsigned, nonzero integer constant specifying the length
of the data type. It must be one of the valid length specifiers for
the data type given by typ.
- p
- Is a dummy argument.
