Version 3.1 of KAP C contains major new parallel processing functionality not available in Version 1.6 released in April 1994. Version 3.1 supports automatic parallelization of applications using Posix threads. Please refer to the release notes for details.
This software requires OpenVMS Alpha Version 7.1 or higher running on an Alpha system. DEC C is a prerequisite layered product. If DEC C is not installed at the time of the installation, the Installation Verification Procedure (IVP) will fail.
The KAP installation requires 12,000 blocks of disk space.
KAP C is available on CD-ROM as part of the OpenVMS Alpha Layered Products Disk.
