Before you install the DIGITAL[TM]
Enterprise Mail Monitor:
- Ensure the following software is installed on your system:
- OpenVMS[TM] VAX[TM] Version 6.2, or later, excluding
OpenVMS VAX Version 7.0.
- OpenVMS[TM] Alpha Version 6.2, or later, excluding
OpenVMS Alpha Version 7.0.
- DECnet[TM]-Plus, formerly known as DECnet/OSI for OpenVMS, Version 6.3, or
later, including the OSI Applications Kernel (OSAK), or TCP/IP together with VMS/ULTRIX [TM] Connection, Version 3.3.
- Ensure you have access to the SYSTEM account.
- Back up your system disk using the OpenVMS Backup
Utility.
- Make sure any previous version of Mail Monitor is shut down before installing the new
version of the Mail Monitor.
