The X500 scanning module scans DEC X.500 Version 1.0 and later
(called DIGITAL X.500 Directory Service in later versions) on
OpenVMS systems. The scanning module checks the version and produces
a Version record.
Note
There is a scanning module, for
use on DIGITAL UNIX systems, that makes many checks that are similar
but some that are not; see Chapter 8.
