8.9.1 DMO - MailWorks File Locations and Device Information

MailWorks locations are sent in two monitor records (success state). MailWorks defines two directories:

• localDIR, which contains process configuration, log files and other information. localDIR is determined by examining the file sharedDIR/MailWorksrc.

• sharedDIR, which contains binaries, configuration files, and other information. The sharedDIR is defined in the file MailWorksrc in the following ordered paths:

  • /usr/opt/DMW

  • /usr/spool/MailWorks

  • /usr/lib/MailWorks

  • /usr/kits/MailWorks

  • /usr/opt/DMW

  • /usr/lpp/MailWorks

  • /usr/MailWorks

  • /MailWorks

  Last in the order are two paths in /usr/local:

  • /usr/local/MailWorks

  • /usr/local/lib/MailWorks

The scanning module uses the sharedDIR of MailWorks to get standard device information such as device name, free blocks and total blocks.
