7.10.5 MR - Further Checks

If MR$TIDY is configured, the scanning module checks whether it is running and produces a Monitor record in either case. Also, if MR$TIDY is not running, the scanning module checks MR$INIT and gets the DIRECTORY_FILE and QUEUE_FILE records. If any check fails, the scanning module produces a Monitor record.

If TS is not stopped and default DECnet is not enabled, the scanning module produces a Monitor record about any mailboxes that exist. For each mailbox, the scanning module processes the MR queue and checks the status of MR for remote mailboxes; if there is none, or if any MR$NBS:*.NBS_BAD file is found, the scanning module produces a Monitor record. The scanning module checks for MR$NBS:*.NBS_BAD files only if MR$NBS is defined, and at the start of its search the scanning module produces a Scanner log message.
