CDS Names

After the cell name or cell root prefix, the next part of a DCE name is often a CDS name. For example, consider the following name:

/.../C=DE/O=SNI/OU=DCE/subsys/druecker/docs

The CDS part of this name is

/subsys/druecker/docs

Another example is the name

/.../cs.univ.edu/subsys/printers/docs

In this name, the CDS part is

/subsys/printers/docs

The following strings show equivalent names using the cell root prefix, assuming that the name is used from within the /.../C=DE/O=SNI/OU=DCE and /.../cs.univ.edu cells, respectively:

/.:/subsys/druecker/docs
/.:/subsys/printers/docs
