Application Message Service
The application message service is a general-purpose messages manager for readable character strings that are commonly displayed to application users. The service automatically and transparently takes care of many of the special problems that distributed application messaging can give rise to. The service uses catalog files to maintain message text and explanations separate from the program in a culture-specific or nationality-specific way.
