1.2.4 The Management Modules

Mail Monitor provides these management modules:

• CONTROL, which manages the CONTROL scanning module.

• Trace, which is used to track Message Router messages through the part of the network that Mail Monitor is monitoring, starting from a specific server.

The CONTROL management module issues system commands to systems where the Mail Monitor server is running. This module can issue commands to several systems simultaneously, regardless of operating system. Chapter 5 gives details of how to use commands to manage the Control scanning module.

Note that the CONTROL management module replaces the Control tool that was provided by the MAILbus Monitor V2.1 Client.
