3.7.2 DIGITAL X.500 Directory Service for Digital UNIX Systems (X500)

This section describes how to use the module-specific sections of the initialization file to configure a scanning module for DIGITAL X.500 Directory Service for DIGITAL UNIX Systems.

3.7.2.1 The DXIM Configuration Section

This section describes the information on which summaries are built when checking dxim requests:

• First_entry=entry_name

  The first entry of the dxim tree to start with for the summary.

• Count_Naming_Context=yes|no

  The scanning module should report the naming context count. The default value is yes.

• Count_SubordinateReferences=yes|no

  The scanning module should report the subordinate reference count. The default value is yes.

• Count_SuperiorReferences=yes|no

  The scanning module should report the superior reference count. The default value is yes.

• Ignore_Errorn=error_text

  Exclude error containing error_text from being reported. There is no default value.

  You can specify more than one error text to ignore by replacing n with a number that represents an error that the scanning module should ignore. The values that you specify for n must be in an unbroken sequence that starts at 1 . For example:

  Ignore_Error1=DSA Error *
  Ignore_Error2=Communications Error *
  

• Ignore_Remote=yes|no

  The scanning module should ignore reports from remote DSAs. The default value is yes.

• List_NamingContext=yes|no

  The scanning module should report every naming context. The default value is no.

• List_SubordinateReferences=yes|no

  The scanning module should report every subordinate reference. The default value is no.

• List_SuperiorReferences=yes|no

  The scanning module should report every superior reference. The default value is no.

• Severity=error_level

  The severity value for a problem, as defined in the note at the beginning of Section 3.3.

3.7.2.2 The DSA Information Tree Section

This section gives information about the DSA information tree snapshot files. It has the following format:

[DSA_Information_Tree]

You can specify the following:

• Severity=error_level

  The severity value for a problem, as defined in the note at the beginning of Section 3.3.

• File_Name=path

  Specifies where to get the DSA Information Tree snapshot id. The default value is /var/dxd/DSA-information- tree.snapid .
