3.3.6 The File_Count Section (on DIGITAL UNIX and OpenVMS Systems)

Use this section to specify the name of system directory that the Mail Monitor will scan for files.

3.3.6.1 General Rules for File Count

The output of any scan is a Monitor record that gives the number of files in the directory specified as Dir_Name. The output includes the message specified as Message.

3.3.6.2 Values for File Count Checks

• Dir_Name=path

• Severity=error_level

  The severity value for a problem, as defined in the note at the beginning of Section 3.3.

• Message=description

  An informational message to be sent with the counter.
