3.3.11 The Env Section (on Digital UNIX Systems)

Use this section to specify the name of an environment variable that the Mail Monitor will scan.

3.3.11.1 General Rules for Environment Variable

• If an environment variable exists, Mail Monitor produces a Monitor record with status information.

• If an environment variable is not found, Mail Monitor produces a Monitor record.

3.3.11.2 Values for Environment Variable Checks

• Severity=error_level

  The severity level for a problem, as defined in the note at the beginning of Section 3.3.

The following example specifies the HOME environment and the severity level set to 2 (warning):
