DCE Reference Implementation Dependencies
The previous two subsections, Network Services and Operating System Services, listed assumptions made by the DCE architecture. The OSF DCE reference implementation contains additional dependencies on the operating system and network, which are specific to the implementation. These include the use of Internet Protocol and socket networking services, and UNIX operating system facilities.
