この付録では，製品のインストレーション時あるいは製品の使用時に発生する可能性のある障害あるいはエラーに対処するための情報を提供します。

C.1 日本語 DECwindows Motif のインストレーション時のエラー

インストレーション時に問題を検出した場合は，ユーザにそれを通知し，インストレーションを継続するかどうか問い合わせます。ある状況の場合は，YES と応答して処理を継続することができます。インストレーション処理を中止し，問題を修正する場合は NO と応答するか Return キーを押します。続いて，問題を修正して，インストレーションを再度実行します。

インストレーションに失敗した場合は，次のメッセージが表示されます。

%PCSI-E-S_OPFAIL, operation failed %PCSIUI-E-ABORT, operation terminated due to an unrecoverable error condition

インストレーション中に，以下のいずれかの状況が存在する場合はエラーが発生する可能性があります。

• オペレーティング・システムのバージョンが正しくない場合。

• 必要とするソフトウェア・バージョンが正しくない場合。

• インストレーションに必要なクォータが不足している場合。

• インストレーションに必要なシステム・パラメータ値が不足している場合。

• 製品ライセンスが登録されていない場合。

これらの条件により発生したエラー・メッセージについての説明は，システム・メッセージ，回復手順，OpenVMS ソフトウェア・インストレーションに関する OpenVMS ドキュメントを参照してください。上記の状態が通知された場合は，メッセージに記述されている適切な処置を行う必要があります。
