A.3.2.3 システムのバックアップの確認

VMSINSTALプロシージャでは，次の質問が表示されます。 


* Are you satisfied with the backup of your system disk [Yes]?

システム・ディスクのバックアップを行っている場合は， Returnキーを押して 付録 A.3.2.4 項 に進みます。

システム・ディスクのバックアップを行っていない場合は，次の作業を行ってください。

  1. NOと入力してReturnキーを押してください。 VMSINSTALプロシージャが終了しててDCLレベルに戻ります。
  2. VAXプロセッサ用の『OpenVMS Upgrade and Installation Supplement』の記述に従ってシステム・ディスクのバックアップを行ってください。
  3. システム・ディスクのバックアップを行ったあと， 付録 A.3.2.2 項 の手順 4 からインストレーション・プロシージャを再開してください。

A.3.2.4 ディストリビューション・メディアの装着

ディストリビューション・メディアの位置の問い合わせがあります。 


* Where will the distribution volumes be mounted:

次のフォーマットでディレクトリを指定してください。 


device-name:[directory]

製品名(ファシリティ名) の問い合わせがあった場合は， DWMOTIFVAXU6012と入力してください。 


Enter the names of the product to be processed from the first 
distribution volume set.

A.3.2.5 リリース・ノート・オプションの選択

付録 A.3.2.2 項 の手順 4 で OPTIONS N を指定した場合，ここでリリース・ノートに関するオプションの選択を行います。 


Release notes included with this kit are always copied to SYS$HELP. 
 
    Additional Release Notes Options: 
 
    1.  Display release notes 
    2.  Print release notes 
    3.  Both 1 and 2 
    4.  None of the above 
 
* Select option [2]:

選択するオプション番号を入力してください。

注意
インストレーションを継続する前にリリース・ノートに目を通すことを強く推奨します。

オプション1を選択した場合，リリース・ノートが端末に表示されます。リリース・ノートの先を読む場合は，Returnキーを押します。表示を終了して，インストールを継続するにはCtrl/Cキーを押します。 Ctrl/Cを押した後，インストレーションを実行するかどうか問い合わせがあります。ここで，リリース・ノートがSYS$HELPに移動されたことを通知します。

警告
Ctrl/Yを誤って押さないようにしてください。 Ctrl/Yを押すとインストレーションが終了してしまいます。

オプション2または3を選択すると，プリント・キュー名の入力の問い合わせがあります。プリント・キューを指定しない場合，省略時の設定によりリリース・ノートは SYS$PRINT キューに登録されます。

A.3.2.6 インストレーションの継続

リリース・ノート・オプションの処理が終了すると，次のようなメッセージが表示されます。 


* Do you want to continue the installation [No]?

インストレーションを継続する場合はYESと入力してReturnキーを押します。インストレーションを強制終了する場合はReturnキーを押します。

どのリリース・ノート・オプションを選択したかに関係なく，リリース・ノートはSYS$HELPディレクトリにコピーされます。リリース・ノートがSYS$HELPディレクトリにコピーされたあとのアクセス方法については， 付録 A.3.4 項 を参照してください。

A.3.2.7 OSF/Motifリリース1.1.3プログラミング環境の保存

DECwindows Motifがすでにシステムにインストールされている場合，前バージョンのプログラミング環境(OSF/Motifリリース1.1.3)は今回インストールする Compaq DECwindows Motif for OpenVMS V1.2--6 との互換性がありません (OSF/Motifリリース1.2プログラミング環境は， Compaq DECwindows Motif for OpenVMS V1.2--6 ソフトウェアをインストールすると， OSF/Motifリリース1.2.3ツールキットで上書きされます)。

OSF/Motifリリース1.1.3のプログラミング環境を保存するかどうか問い合わせがあります。 


          The DECwindows Motif programming environment was installed with a 
          previous version of this kit.  This environment is incompatible with the 
          OSF/Motif Release 1.2 environment provided with DECwindows Motif Version 
          1.2-6. The XUI programming environment is also not included in 
          DECwindows Motif Version 1.2-6. 
 
          If you intend to continue developing programs for XUI or OSF/Motif 
          Release 1.1.3 you should save this environment.  Please refer to the 
          installation guide for more details and information on accessing these 
          files in their new location. 
 
          If you do not choose to save the XUI and OSF/Motif Release 1.1.3 
          programming environment, those files will be removed from the system 
          disk. 
 
        * Do you want to save the OSF/Motif Release 1.1.3 and XUI 
        * programming support files [No]?

XUIおよびOSF/Motifリリース1.1.3のプログラミング環境を保存する場合は， YESと入力してReturnキーを押してください。インストレーション・プロシージャは，プログラミングに使用できるように， OSF/Motifリリース1.1.3のプログラミング・ファイルが入ったサブディレクトリを作成します。

A.3.2.8 キット全体のインストレーション

Compaq DECwindows Motif for OpenVMS V1.2--6 ソフトウェア・キットは全体をインストールすることも，一部だけをインストールすることも可能です。 DECwindows Motif基本キットはどちらの場合でもインストールされます。 Compaq DECwindows Motif for OpenVMS V1.2--6 プログラミング環境のインストレーションはオプションです。

キット全体をインストールするかどうか問い合わせがあります。 


          You can install the DECwindows Motif kit completely or in selected 
          portions.  A complete installation requires as many as 82,500 blocks. 
          If you choose to perform a partial installation, you can select 
          (tailor) the programming support files that support your DECwindows 
          Motif application development.  Whether you perform a complete or partial 
          installation, this kit provides support for running DECwindows Motif 
          applications on OpenVMS compute servers. 
 
        * Do you want to install the entire kit [Yes]?

キット全体をインストールする場合は， Returnキーを押して，キットの選択を確認してください ( 付録 A.3.2.10 項 を参照してください)。キット全体をインストールしない場合は， NOを入力すると，プログラミング・サポートのインストレーションに関する問い合わせがあります ( 付録 A.3.2.9 項 を参照してください)。

A.3.2.9 プログラミング・サポート・ファイルの選択

インストレーション・プロシージャでは，次のメッセージが表示され，プログラミング・サポートのインストレーションが必要かどうか問い合わせがあります。 


          This installation procedure provides support files for developing 
          DECwindows Motif applications in several programming languages.  These 
          files are needed only to develop applications and are not required to run 
          DECwindows Motif applications.  The free disk space requirement for each 
          programming support file ranges from 3000 to 8000 blocks. 
    
        * Do you want to install DECwindows Motif programming support [Yes]?

プログラミング・サポートのインストレーションが必要な場合は， Returnキーを押してください。次のメッセージが表示されます。 


          Support files are supplied for the following OpenVMS programming languages: 
 
                FORTRAN, Pascal 
 
          In addition, support files are supplied for programming in the C language 
          using conventions and standards developed at the Massachusetts Institute 
          of Technology.

プログラミング・サポートを選択しない場合は， NOを入力して 付録 A.3.2.10 項 の指示に進んでください。次のメッセージが表示され，プログラミング・サポート・ファイル全部をインストールするかどうか問い合わせがあります。 


        * Do you want to install all programming language support files [Yes]?

全言語をインストールする場合はReturnキーを押してください。全言語のインストールを選択しない場合はNOを入力して Returnキーを押してください。ここで言語が1つずつ表示されます。インストールしたい言語のプロンプトに対してYESを入力してください。

ここでDECwindows Motifのサンプル・プログラム・ファイルをインストールするかどうか問い合わせます。

サンプル・プログラム・ファイルをインストールする場合は Returnキーを押してください。サンプル・ファイルをインストールしない場合はNOと入力してください。

A.3.2.10 キット選択の確認

ここでキットの構成要素のうち選択したものが表示され，選択が正しいかどうか確認できます。次のようなメッセージが表示されます。 


You have selected the following portions of the kit: 
 
        o  DECwindows Motif Applications and Run-time Libraries 
 
        o  DECwindows Motif programming examples

選択が正しい場合はReturnキーを押してください。選択を変更する場合はNOと入力してReturnキーを押してください。 NOを選択するとキット全体をインストールするかを問い合わせるプロンプトに戻ります ( 付録 A.3.2.8 項 を参照してください)。ここから再度選択手順を繰り返して選択を終了し，選択が正しければYESと入力し，Returnキーを押してください。

A.3.2.11 ディスク・スペースの確認

インストレーション・プロシージャは，システム・ディスクに十分な空きブロックがあるかどうかをチェックします。

  1. ブロックが十分にあればインストレーションを継続します ( 付録 A.3.2.12 項 を参照してください)。
  2. 選択した部分をインストールするには不十分である場合は，次のようなメッセージが表示されます。 


             Your system disk has only 25364 free blocks, and 
         you have selected to install approximately 76050 blocks. 
 
                                   * * * N O T E * * * 
 
         The installation procedure has determined that you do not have enough 
         disk space to complete the installation.  However, it may be possible 
         to continue successfully if you are installing DECwindows Motif on a 
         system that already has DECwindows Motif installed. 
 
       * Do you want to reselect which DECwindows Motif options to install [Yes]?


    Returnキーを押すと， 付録 A.3.2.8 項 に説明する手順から再開して DECwindows Motifのオプションを再度選択することができます。 NOを入力するとインストレーションを継続するかどうか問い合わせがあります。 


    * Do you want to continue the installation anyway [Yes]?

    警告
    Returnキーを押すとインストレーションが継続されます。ただし，インストレーションに必要な空きディスク・スペースが不足している場合，インストレーションは失敗します。


    NOと入力するとインストレーションは終了します。ここで，システム・ディスクに空きブロックを作成してからインストレーションを再開するか， AWDオプションを使用して再度インストレーションをやり直すことができます (AWDオプションの使用法については 付録 A.3.1.2 項 を参照してください)。
  3. 指定した代替作業デバイスに，選択した部分のインストレーションに必要なディスク・スペースがない場合，次のようなメッセージが表示されます。 


            Your specified alternate working directory device has only 68977 
        free blocks, and this installation will require approximately 76050 blocks. 
 
        You should either reselect which DECwindows Motif options to install, or 
        restart this installation using an alternate working directory device with 
        more free blocks.

        Although the installation procedure estimates you do not have enough disk 
        space to complete the installation, it may be possible to continue 
        successfully if you are installing DECwindows Motif on a system which 
        already has DECwindows installed. 
 
      * Do you want to reselect which DECwindows Motif options to install [Yes]?


    Returnキーを押すと， 付録 A.3.2.8 項 に説明した手順から再開して DECwindows Motifオプションを再度選択することができます。 NOと入力するとインストレーションを継続するかどうか問い合わせがあります。 


    * Do you want to continue the installation anyway [Yes]?


    Returnキーを押すとインストレーションは継続されます。

    警告
    代替作業デバイスにインストレーションに必要な空きスペースがない場合は，インストレーションは終了します。


    NOと入力するとインストレーションは終了します。ディスク・スペースが十分にある代替作業デバイスを設定したら，インストレーションを再開してください (AWDオプションの使用法については 付録 A.3.1.2 項 を参照してください)。

A.3.2.12 ライセンス登録の確認

インストレーション・プロシージャを継続すると，次のようなライセンス情報が表示されます。 


          A registered and loaded product authorization key for DW-MOTIF is 
          required to run any DECwindows Motif for OpenVMS application. If you 
          answer No to the next question, the installation of DECwindows Motif for 
          OpenVMS will be terminated.

NET-APP-SUP-250とNET-APP-SUP-300 PAKも有効です。オーソライゼーション・キーが登録済みであれば， YESと入力してインストレーションを継続します。 NOと入力すると，次のメッセージが表示され，インストレーションは終了します。 


Installation of DECwindows Motif cannot continue because you do 
not have a registered and loaded authorization key.

ライセンス登録についての詳細は 付録 A.1.1 項 を参照してください。オーソライゼーション・キーを登録したあと， Compaq DECwindows Motif for OpenVMS V1.2--6 のインストレーションを 付録 A.3.2.2 項 の手順 4 から再開してください。

A.3.2.13 システムの再ブートの実行

システムの再ブートを行って， Compaq DECwindows Motif for OpenVMS V1.2--6 ソフトウェアのインストレーションを正常に完了することを推奨するメッセージが表示されます。 


          DECwindows Motif will not start if your system parameters are not 
          correct. 
 
          o If you allow a system shutdown, the installation procedure will 
            reboot the system at the end of the installation.  If your system 
            parameters are incorrect, the installation will run AUTOGEN prior 
            to the system reboot. 
 
          o If you do not allow a system shutdown, the installation procedure 
            will continue, and you will be informed at the end of the 
            installation whether you need to modify your system parameters in 
            order to start DECwindows Motif. 
 
          To complete the installation of this product, you should reboot 
          the system.  If it is not convenient to reboot at this time, then 
          enter No to the following question. 
 
          If you enter No, the installation procedure will continue. 
    
        * Will you allow a system reboot after this product is installed [Yes]?

インストレーション後にシステムのシャットダウンを問い合わせるプロンプトに対してNOを入力した場合，それ以降の問い合わせはありません。

インストレーション後にシステムのシャットダウンを問い合わせるプロンプトに対してYESを入力した場合，次のようなシャットダウンに関する問い合わせが表示されます。 


* How many minutes for system shutdown [0]? 
* Do you want to do an automatic system reboot [Yes]? 
 
  No further questions will be asked.

警告
イメージあるいはアプリケーションを起動する場合にそバージョンを間違えないようにするために，必要な手順 ( 付録 A.3.2.15 項 に示されるような手順 ) を実行して Compaq DECwindows Motif for OpenVMS V1.2--6 ソフトウェアを再起動してください。
